On Sunday, June 19,2016 the Fourth Annual Lake to Lake Charity Bike Ride will take place at the Shepaug Dam Recreational Area (click here for directions), Southbury, CT. All proceeds will help fund the LOF Adaptive Skiers programs for children, adults and military veterans with disabilities.
100k and 75k start time 7am – 9am; All other start times 8am – 10 am
There are five beautiful routes to choose from (click on route for maps, cue sheets, and more detailed info):
- 25 Kilometer (15.5 miles) Family Fun ride (This route includes approximately 1 mile of dirt road!)
- 50 kilometer (31 miles) Woodlake route
- 75 kilometer (45.2 miles) Long Meadow Pond route
- 100 kilometer (63.1miles) Lake Waramaug route
- 10 mile Handcycling route (open to all hand cyclists with disabilities)
The 100k, 75k and 50k routes will take you through the scenic hills of New Haven and Litchfield counties on your way to Lake Waramaug, Long Meadow Pond or Woodlake. There will be water stops along the 100k, 75k and 50k routes. Class Cycles of Southbury, CT will be providing support for the rides.
New this Year!
All riders with disabilities, registering for the hand-cycle route, ride free of charge! All riders registered online in advance will receive a “Lake to Lake Charity Bike Ride” t-shirt. Lunch for all riders at conclusion of the ride. Guest lunches may be purchased onsite for $5.oo.
Registration
This is a rain or shine event. Disabled cyclists are always welcome!
Online registration is $35.00 per rider until midnight on May 31st. June 1st through midnight June 17th registration is $45.oo per rider. On-site registration is $50.00 per rider. Registration for children under 14 years of age are free and they MUST be accompanied by an adult. Registrations for children must include the completion of a Parental/Guardian Liability Waiver.
