As you can see by the slack in the chain verticle drops and fixies are just not made to work. Above is the chain on the 16t track cog and there isn't enough slack in the chain to take another link out. You'd think 15t might be better, as that was what was recommended to me by the Single Speed/Fixie Guru, but I can't event get that work. Nope, Barney the Purple Cannondale is looking like it will need a tensioner and just be run SS. It will be nice to actually get out and ride it.
